Split Ear Lobe Repair

Split ear lobes can be repaired in 7 minutes. A split earlobe, known in medical terminology as a bifid lobe is commonly caused by heavy earrings or trauma. The most common traumatic event is that of an infant grabbing that sparkling thing and not letting go. The repair requires stitches which must be removed in approximately 2 weeks. The ear can be re-pierced 6 weeks after the repair.
