Dr. Tinsley Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery and Professional Skin Care

Dr. Tinsley & Associates Inc. Is a medical service Corporation that provides Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Services in Chicago and the Grand Cayman Island. The practice has been in business since 1996. The Chicago office is located in the famed Water Tower Place.

Flawless by Dr. Tinsley Inc. provides skin care products, procedures, services, aesthetician training, education and performs clinical research on Black skin. It owns the rights to SkinSideOut and SMR, Scarless Mole Removal, the procedure invented by Dr. Tinsley to remove the common moles that run in Black families,. Flawless shares offices with Dr. Tinsley at Water Tower Place and also provides skin care services at the Black Skin Institute on South Martin Luther King Drive, with satellites in Milwaukee Wisconsin and Naperville, Illinois.

Dr. Tinsley is a proud single parent of two daughters. This loving father is also active in his community, he is a member of several civic organizations, including C.O.A.L. (Coalition of African American Leaders) and volunteers as an after school program science teacher for his church home.

Rita Phillips has been the general manager and corporate Chief Operating Officer for Dr. Tinsley & Associates since 2003. That’s her before she met Dr. Tinsley and the remarkable difference after she met Dr. Tinsley. She is the patients best advocate because she understands the business and she too is a patient. She walks the walk, talks the talk and uses the products.

Regina Porter, R.N. MSN is the nurse and compliance officer for the practice. She has worked with Dr. Tinsley since 1986. She oversees the clinics and makes house calls for postop patients when necessary. She makes sure that everything is done by the book and assures the highest standards are maintained in the practice.

Chanel Green, CMA is the Medical Assistant, she manages patient contacts via the telephone and internet and manages the Flawless office in Chicago. She keeps the medical paper work in order and supervises the many students that rotate through the practice. Her voice is likely the first that you will hear. She is always pleasant, professional and helpful.

Aimee Tolson, Shelby Thomas and Gia Byers are the Chicago in house aestheticians. They provide expert skin care services including facials, microdermabrasion, peels, waxing and more.

Nicole Martin of NCM spa is the approved aesthetician at the Naperville location.

Many students rotate through Dr. Tinsley’s practice, but Dr. Tinsley performs every procedure himself. Because Black skin, per se, is not taught in medical schools this is likely the only experience they will have to learn about the proper care of Black skin and the management of moles, keloids, wounds and scars in people of African descent.
